Charles Raymond "Bud" Rogerson

FARR WEST - Charles Raymond Rogerson, 69, died October 29, 2008 at Ogden Regional Hospital of a stroke. He was born August 22, 1939 in Ogden the son of Charles Chester and Dorothy Elizabeth Burnett Rogerson. He graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State College. Bud married Delpha Linda Watson March 7, 1959; they were later sealed in the Logan Temple.

Bud was a member of the Jaycee's, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Loyal Order of Moose and the original Sundowners Motorcycle Club. He was co-founder of LUV American Style CB Radio Club. He enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling and had a great passion for photography. He loved spending time at Bear Lake, in Yuma and Mexico.

He worked as a machinist for the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads. He was a partner in an airplane and car painting business. He also was an owner/partner in the Ranch Restaurant, Motel and Lounge in West Yellowstone, MT.

Bud was a wonderful father, brother, son, brother-in-law and son-in-law. He was dedicated to his loving wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all his extended family and friends. He was a joy to all who knew him. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; daughters Christina Quick (Mike), Claire Kelley (Todd) and Cara Ross (Don); mother Dorothy Rogerson; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister Joan Meyerhoffer (Melvin); brothers Dale Rogerson (Phyllis), Dennis Rogerson; and mother-in-law Delpha Loll Watson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Charles Chester Rogerson.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends and family may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m.
