Charles Donald Symes

ALBION, IDAHO - Charles Donald Symes, 62, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at his son's home in North Ogden, Utah.

He was born June 2, 1938 in Salt Lake City to Donald Stanley Symes and Bertha Brough Symes. He married Kay Jerome on February 6, 1972 in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2000.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a police officer for the Salt Lake City Police Dept., retiring after 20 years of service.

He was a member of the LDS church.

Surviving are one son, David T. (Shawna) Symes, No. Ogden; one grandchild; four step-grandsons; and two brothers, Fred Symes, Salt Lake City; and Phil Symes, Kearns, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay; a step-son, Donald Jerome "Jerry" Church; a step-daughter, Melanie Catherine Symes; and his parents.
