Chase Erle Compton Obituary (1993 - 2015)

Chase Compton BRIGHAM CITY - Chase Erle Compton, age 21 left his earthly life and went on to start a new adventure in the early morning hours of February 25, 2015. Chase was born June 25, 1993. He was the long waited and adored son of Kelly and Laura Compton. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 2011 and attended Utah State University and was currently attending the Davis Applied Technology College for mechanics. Chase married the girl of his dreams, Erin Taylor McCowan, on July 17, 2014. He loved the outdoors, this is where he found his greatest peace. Hiking, rock climbing, four-wheeling, fishing, hunting and music. He was the Zombie slayer at video games. Spending time with his wife, his family, and his nieces and nephews were the joys of his life. Chase was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even in trials he held his testimony close to his heart. He is survived by his wife, Erin, parents: Kelly and Laura Compton and his sister Tiffany (Brandon) Baugh, his grandmother Juanita Wells, nieces and nephews Ruthie Nielsen, Alice Nielsen, and Hudson Ford Baugh. He leaves behind many aunts and uncles and cousins as well. His many friends, who will miss him greatly. And, last but not least, his loyal dog Jade. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dean and Carol Compton, and Harold Wells, and a nephew, Jeremiah Nielsen. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the River Ward Chapel, 531 N. 100 W., Brigham City. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
