Cherrol Archibald Burnham Obituary (1918 - 2006)

Cherrol Archibald Norman Burnham SYRACUSE - Cherrol Archibald Norman Burnham, 87, passed away April 11, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 28, 1918 in Hyrum, Utah to James Hendry and Carrie Maria Archibald, the fourth of five children. Cherrol married Earl Obray Norman on October 7, 1937. They had five children. Earl died November 18, 1949. On October 17, 1953 Cherrol married Kendall Kim Burnham. They had two children. Ken died July 22, 1999. Cherrol was employed many years at Hill Air Force Base, eventually retiring from IRS in Ogden, Utah. She also owned and operated Burnham's Greenhouse in Syracuse, Utah for a number of years. She was a member of the Utah China painters Association serving as Secretary for several years. She enjoyed China painting and had painted many beautiful plates over the years. She loved gardening, golfing and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Syracuse 2nd Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had held numerous positions through her years. She is survived by her children Rosalie (Robert F.) Checketts, Evan (Millie) Norman, Robert (Jolene) Norman, Amy (Tom TenBoer) Markos, Julie (George) Bachman, and Mike (Mary Blair) Burnham; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. We love you and we'll miss you. She was preceded in death by both husbands, an infant daughter Patricia Norman, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West. Family will meet friends on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
