Cheryl Jean (Cj) Wood Obituary (1968 - 2011)

Cheryl Jean (CJ) Bybee Wood ROY - CJ Wood, 42, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at IHC Hospital, Murray, Utah. She was born September 16, 1968 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Lance Melvin and Cheryl Bryan Bybee. She married Kent Wilford Wood (Woody), July 4, 1997 in Layton, UT. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, October 23, 2009. She graduated from Smith-Cotton High School, Sedalia, MO., attended BYU and Weber State University earning an Associate's Degree. She is a member of the Roy 15th Ward and has served as a primary teacher, activity day leader and visiting teacher. She was a volunteer at Roy Municipal Elementary. She has been employed at Autoliv for 21 years. Surviving are her husband Kent, daughter Madyson Rae (Mady), parents Lance Melvin and Cheryl Bryan Bybee, grandparents Lester Merill and Norma Marsing Bryan, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her grandparents Robert Melvin and Laura Wauneva Hamre Bybee. She was a caring wife, mother, daughter and granddaughter who loved spending time with family, reading, scrap booking, movies, camping, walks, and knitting scarves and hats for humanitarian aide. Special thanks to Life Flight and the IHC Heart and Lung Thoracic ICU doctors, nurses and staff. Viewing will be Sunday, March 6th from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, UT. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Roy South Stake, 5725 S 3750 W, Roy, UT. Friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment in the Uintah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a charitable account has been set up at America First Credit Union in her name.
