Christiane Rude Obituary (1936 - 2022)

Christiane Antoinette Blanc Rude, 86, passed away peacefully Monday, April 18, 2022. She was born on January 16, 1936 to Gabriel and Marie Blanc in La Tronche, Isere in southeastern France. She was the oldest of three children and cherished time spent with her sister, Antoinette, and baby brother, Rene, throughout her life. She earned an Associates Degree in France and moved to the United States at the age of thirty. Los Altos, CA became home and this is where she was a stay-at-home mom and eventually pursued a career in education as a French teacher. > > Christiane was a kind, loving, and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and teacher. She was an amazing French cook who enjoyed cooking for her family and many friends. Above all, she was a Christ-like example of humility and faith to all who knew her. In her later years, she was a temple worker at the Ogden, Utah Temple and a caregiver for an aging family member. > > Christiane is survived by her two sons Willy and Frank, her daughter-in-law Anna, five grandchildren Danielle, Frank Jr., Christian, Nicole, and Nicholas, and her siblings Antoinette and Rene. She was preceded in death by her parents. > > Christiane lived a full life of service and blessed every life she touched. She will be greatly missed. > > A private family service was held on April 21, 2022 at the Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah.
