LAYTON--Christie Jensen died on September 13th from complications due to type 1 diabetes and central pontine myelinolysis. She was born on December 25, 1961 in Ogden, Utah to Keith Roger and Eva Collard Bean. Christie always felt honored to have been born on the day we celebrate Christ’s birthday. She had a great love for the beautiful Christmas season with the wonderful music and messages of hope that accompany each Christmas season.
She married Jay Glenn Jensen on April 18, 1980 in the Logan, Utah Temple. They were blessed with three children: Courtney Jensen, Lindsey (Brett) Cheal, and Cameron Jensen. She considered her children to be miracles from God and loved them with all her heart and soul. She was blessed to have five grandchildren: Nate, Reese, Eli, Oliver and Evie; all of whom were greatly loved. She said they were the whipped cream in the sweetest pie in life.
Christie was a member of the LDS Church. She served in the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society organizations.
Christie graduated from Weber State University in 2004. She worked for the Davis County School District, the Second District Juvenile Court and the Davis County Library.
Christie had type 1 diabetes and was passionate about educating others with regard to the disease. She said it was a disease whose time for a cure was far too long overdue.
Surviving are her husband, children, and grandchildren, siblings Judy (Keith) Fraser, Becky Owen, Matt (Norene) Bean, Scott (Lisa) Bean and Robbi (Paul) Killpack, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father, mother, in-laws, and beloved fur babies Obie and Willie.
Graveside services will be held on September 24th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Layton Memorial Park, 1867 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.
Christie requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on her behalf.
