Christopher Lincoln Dussol Obituary (1954 - 2019)

Christopher Lincoln Dussol Christopher Lincoln Dussol (Chris), 64, of Ogden, Utah, passed away on March 09, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family following a valiant battle with cancer. Chris will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and hard work. He was a man of integrity, intelligence, and humora"never finding fault in others and giving what he could to those in need. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather; and he truly made the world a better and kinder place. He will be missed greatly. Chris was born May 27, 1954 in Kingston, Ulster County, New York to Lucien A. Dussol and Evelyn McCullough Dussol. He kept many fond memories of playing in his grandmother's yard and exploring the woods and wildlife of upstate New York with his sister, brother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He gained a life-long love of animals and cared for many well-loved pets throughout his life. At the age of eleven, Chris and his family moved to Ogden, Utah. Chris was a graduate of Ben Lomond High School and Weber State University. Chris worked as a credit manager and an insurance agent prior to finding his career as a mail carrier with the US Postal Service. He retired in 2018 after 31 years with the USPS and enjoyed all of the friendships he made with his fellow mail carriers and customers. Chris was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities and callings. Chris met his beloved wife, Brenda, in 1973 and they were married in 1976. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden Temple in 1977. They had 3 children: C. Joseph (Natalie), Jonathan R., and Aimee M. He was so proud to be a grandfather to his 3 grandchildren: Hayden, Hudson, and Harper. He delighted in taking them on adventures and teaching them to be curious. He always enjoyed his many nieces and nephews. Chris loved his family dearly, but was most heartbroken to have his time here cut short with his best friend and wife of 43 years. He is survived by his wife, children, daughter-in-law, grandchildren; sister, Heather; brother, Michael; and an aunt and cousins in New York. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and beloved mother-in-law, Genice Roghaar. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Belisario Arango for his excellent compassionate care at Utah Hematology and Oncology and the many kind nurses at the treatment center. We would also like to thank Dr. Gabriela Motyckova and the many talented nurses at LDS Hospital. We are very grateful for the compassionate care provided by IHC Hospice staff, especially nurses Lissa Carter and Asillin Clark who provided much comfort to Dad and the family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Lorin Farr 5th Ward chapel, 1570 E. 1300 S., Ogden, UT. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT, and prior to the funeral services at the chapel from 9:40-10:40 a.m. Interment will be held at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
