PLAIN CITY - Cindy Louise Whitten, 56, passed away in her home, Sunday, July 30, 2006.

Cindy was born September 17, 1949 to Richard and Helen Alkema. Cindy married her soulmate and best friend George Whitten Jr. on September 5, 1969.

Cindy was employed at IRS as a tax examiner for 32 years and received various awards.

Her time was spent loving and caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and of course her bassets. She also spent her time gardening, cross-stitching and cooking.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter Sherri (Loren) Sprague; three sons, Danny (Autum), Matthew (Tenille), Justin (Ellie); two grandchildren Gavin and Ravyn; her mother Helen; two sisters Carlene (Min) Nozakii, Josephine Davidson; two brothers
Richard (Sherry) Alkema and Don (Janet) Alkema.

Also surviving are her 4-legged babies; Junior, Sophie and Hunter; seven grandbabies Spud, Penny, Sayble, Fritz, Romeo, Patch and Paws.

Preceded in death by her father; sister Helen and her first basset Suzy.
