Clara L. Smith

ODGEN - Clara Louise Payne Smith, 82, passed away Friday, June 14, 2002 of causes incident to age.

She was born June 11, 1920 in Bothwell, Utah to George Leslie Payne and Mabel Elizabeth Sandall. She married Ralph L. Smith on November 4, 1942 in Malad, Idaho, they later divorced.

She was a member of the LDS Church, where she taught primary and was a visiting teacher.

Surviving are three daughters, Leanne (John) Broughton, Colorado Springs, CO; Lorna Jean (Richard) Johnson, So. Jordan, Utah; Gwen (Ronald) Carucci, Roy, Utah; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leon George Payne, Tremonton, Utah.

She was preceded in death by one brother; three sisters, her parents; and a daughter, Vicky L. Tanner.

The family is most appreciative for the special care that the staff of the Washington Terrace Care Center and the Hospice of Northern Utah gave our Mother.
