Clayne Grant Curtis Obituary (1929 - 2002)

Clayne G. Curtis SO. OGDEN - Clayne G. Curtis, beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather passed from this life on July 1, 2002 at McKay-Dee Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born August 13, 1929, a son of Clayne G. and Florance Andrews Curtis. Grant was born and raised in Logan Utah, graduated from Logan High School and Weber State University. He married his high school sweetheart, Helen Dunn on February 23, 1949 in the Logan Temple. They enjoyed 54 wonderful years together. Survivors include his wife Helen; three sons, Jerold (Colleen) Curtis, Layton; Larry (Debbie) Curtis, Hardin, Montana; Steven (Pauline) Curtis, Riverdale; a sister, Elaine (Paul) Montrose, Logan; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Miller. Grant retired from the U.S. air Force in 1968 after 20 years, serving in the Korean and Viet Nam Wars, subsequently he retired from Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base after 20 years. He was a member of the Uintah 3rd Ward. He was an Elder and had held various positions in the church. He was a jack of all trades, able to fix anything. He also enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his sons and grandchildren, who love him dearly. He will be missed by all of us. The family thanks Dr. Senekjian and the staff at Bonneville Dialysis for their compassion and help, also the nursing staff in the cardio-vascular ward at McKay-Dee.
