Cleone Richards Weston Obituary (1924 - 2016)

Cleone Richards Weston Ogden - Cleone Richards Weston passed away peacefully on January 7, 2016 at her home. She was born June 12, 1924 in Ogden, Utah to John Harold Richards and Doris Elizabeth Chase. She attended Mound Fort Elementary and Junior High and graduated from Ogden High School. She married her high school sweetheart Harold N. Weston on Nov. 5, 1943 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They were blessed with 69 A 1/2 years before his passing in May of 2013. Cleone was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings including Stake and Ward Auxiliaries, was the Ward and Temple Organist, was a Stake missionary and served 2 service missions. She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers (Camp Golden). She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, crocheting, gardening, camping with family, friends and the Good Sam's (Weber Waffies). She and dad enjoyed spending winters in Yuma, Az. Cleone is survived by her children, Robert H. (Pam) Weston, Curtis N.(Darla) Weston, DeAnne (Lynn) Stauffer, Janet (Roger) Smith, Connie (Tag) Wybrow and Lynette (Doug) Jeppesen; 23 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; also a brother Lowell Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; 2 brothers, 1 sister and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Lorin Farr 1st Ward, 480 E. 7th Street. A viewing will be held at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. on Sunday, January 12th from 6 to 8 PM and Monday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment, in the Ogden City Cemetery.
