Clifford O'Dell Ballard Obituary (1924 - 2003)

Clifford Ballard OGDEN - Clifford O'Dell Ballard, 78, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2003 at his home. He was born November 25, 1924 in Sulfur, Oklahoma to Oliver H. and Gladys Wheatley Ballard. He married Patricia I. Jesse on October 21, 1943 in Chapmanville, WV. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, in the invasion of Italy. Cliff was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He loved fishing, especially fly fishing and he enjoyed silver smithing. Surviving are his wife Patricia Irene Ballard of Ogden; children, Michael (Debra) Ballard, Layton; Larry (Betty Sue) Ballard, Bothwell, UT; Valda (Fred) Goodgame, Hesperia, CA; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Helen Kirby and Marieda Craighead. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Oliver Ballard, Jr. and sister Janice Kirby.
