Connie Jean Phillips Nelson passed away on February 11, 2017 at Davis Hospital of complications from Pneumonia. Connie was born to Eugene Phillips and Donna Genelle Ferguson on May 23, 1943, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She Married Howard Deon Nelson in Idaho Falls, Idaho, April 10, 1965. They were later sealed in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple and were happily married for 51 years.

She has lived in Idaho Falls for 37 years, Ogden, Utah for 13 years, and Roy for the last 24 years. She graduated from Bonneville High school in Idaho Falls.

She served faithfully in all of her church callings. She loved visiting Temples and working in the Bishop Store house.

She spent time sewing, visiting teaching, doing puzzles, traveling, baking and cooking. She was a Utah Jazz fan and loved yelling at the referees. She loved working with her grandchildren in school plays and choir concerts. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her Family.

A special thanks to Davis Hospital ICU for their tremendous effort and care of our family, Bishop Patton and the Relief Society of the Roy 16th Ward, Carma Hendryx for doing moms hair and Roy Myers Mortuary.

She is proceeded in death by Laura Nelson (daughter), James Philips (brother), Eugene and Donna Phillips (Parents).

Survived by her husband Howard, Carl Nelson (son), Marvin (Michelle) Nelson (son), Kristeen (David) Smith (daughter), Denise Nelson (daughter), Glenn Nelson (son) and 9 grandchildren. She is also survived by her Sisters: Sandra (Doug) Wood, Nancy (Ken) Johnson, Donna Farnes, Brothers: Alan (Idana) Phillips, Rodney Phillips.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roy 16th ward, 4524 S. 2525 W. Roy, UT. A viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Roy Myers Mortuary 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, UT and prior to the services at the church from 9:40-10:40 a.m.

Interment in the Roy City Cemetery.
