Constance Lillian Mcfarland Obituary (1940 - 2004)

Constance L. McFarland (Connie) CLINTON - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Connie L. McFarland, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2004 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Great Falls, Montana on September 5, 1940, a daughter of John (Jack) Kolher Petersen and Marjorie Paynter Petersen. Connie was reared and educated in the Great Falls area and that is where her love of the great outdoors originated. In 1958, she married Robert Forbush and together they had three sons. During their marriage, they traveled extensively throughout the world. They were later divorced. In 1977, she married Parley (Pat) B. McFarland. Connie shared her husband's passion for the great outdoors. She loved to go camping, hunting, and fishing. She was renowned for almost always catching the biggest fish and/or catching the most fish on any given fishing trip. After retiring from Hill Air Force Base as a Procurement Clerk, Connie was able to devote more time to her numerous hobbies and interests. She loved to knit, crochet, and quilt, as well as other hand-crafts. She loved playing her organ, competing with the slot machines in Wendover, and collecting music boxes and butterflies. Connie will be remembered by family and friends through the cherished gifts that were hand-made by Connie as well as her compassion for those in need. She is survived by her loving husband, Pat; her children Wade Forbush, Missouri; Mark Forbush and Brad Forbush of Virginia; Kathey (Eugene) Mills, Syracuse; Vicky (Mike) Gerhardt, Plain City; and Rod McFarland of North Ogden; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Ben (Mert) Petersen, Montana; her sister Kaylee (Ken) Deleger, California; and her sister in-law Doris (Ben) McComb, Clinton. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her special Aunt Etta, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
