Constantine "Denos" Pappas Obituary (1932 - 2012)

Constantine "Denos" Pappas Ogden - Constantine "Denos" Pappas, 79, passed away November 20, 2012. He was born November 22, 1932 in Ogden to George and Ethel (Flitten) Pappas. He started working at the Standard Examiner when he was 14 years old. After serving in the military he returned to work at the Standard until he retired just a few years ago. Denos served as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. During his service in the Army he met a beautiful German girl, Elizabeth Pleines. They dated for one year prior to their marriage in 1955. Denos loved and cared for Liz throughout their 57 wonderful years together. Their union was blessed with six wonderful children. His favorite pastime was bowling. Denos is survived by his wife, Liz; children, Elfride (Jay) Allred of Layton, Robert pappas, Susan Pappas, Teresa (Trent) Mitchell and Patricia Pappas all of Ogden; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and his sister Theone Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Judith Rose and one brother. The family would appreciate donations be made to Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, 84404.
