With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Craig Allen Purser, born April 28, 1977, in Lakewood, California. Craig left us on June 24, 2026. He was a generous soul, filled with joy and humor, who touched many lives with his kindness and warmth. He resided in Brigham City, Utah, where he led a life filled with laughter, creativity, and a love for exploration.
Craig was a true artist at heart. His passion for music production and rap was a distinctive part of his character. Craig traveled by bus, to Mexico City to the serene landscapes of California and Washington, immersing himself in the diverse cultures and experiences that shaped his art. His love for movies, TV programs, computers, and video games was more than a hobby; it was an extension of his vibrant personality. Known as a happy, funny jokester who had a special way with children, Craig was loved not only by his family but also by everyone who had the fortune of crossing his path.
Craig's journey was an inspiring one. An alumnus of San Diego Schools, Morse High School, Southwestern Community College, and the University of Phoenix. His hard work and dedication were evident in his professional life, where he worked at Union Tribune Newspaper, McDonald's, Carl's Jr., and Krispy Kreme.
Craig was never married, but he was surrounded by love throughout his life. He is survived by his loving mother, Abbie Shryers; his step-father Bruce Shryers; his brothers Isaiah “Robert” Murphy, Calvin (Lisa) Purser, Glen Leroy Shryers and Roger William Shryers; his sisters Jamelyn (Eric) Ress and Rebecca King and his grandmother Joyce Purser. He is preceded in death by his father, James Calvin King; his sister Brenda and his brothers David and Bradley.
His family and friends who loved him dearly will miss his infectious laughter, his endless stories. His absence leaves a deep chasm in our lives, but his memory will continue to inspire us and guide us towards living a life as full and as joyous as his.
We encourage those who knew Craig to share their memories of him and upload photos to his remember page, to help us celebrate his extraordinary life. www.myers-mortuary.com
