Dantzel Mccann Johnson Obituary (1926 - 2013)

Dantzel McCann Johnson October 21, 1926 - January 22, 2013 Dannie passed away peacefully on January 22, 2013. Her life was full of laughter and joy, surrounded by her friends and her adoring family. She loved the theatre, playing bridge twice a week, and any good biography or mystery. Sunday afternoon dinners spent around the table eating and drinking with her loved ones were some of her favorite times. Dannie cherished her roles as wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, bridge partner, and friend. Dannie held just about every position possible in the old St. Benedict's Pink Lady auxiliary. She served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Weber County Library system. The family would like to extend their thanks to the people in Dannie's world who helped her stay healthy and beautiful. She is survived by her husband, Cliff, who was the love of her life for over 70 years; her four children, Leslie (Don), Kelly (Debbie), Steve (Brenda), and Wendy Rebecca (Josh); her seven grandchildren; and her one great-grandson. In accordance with Dannie's wishes she was cremated. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting donations in her name to the Eccles Community Art Center in Ogden. Arrangement were entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
