Darlene Staker Bradley, 75
February 20, 1940 - April 1, 2015
Darlene has lost her long fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She passed away peacefully at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield On April 1, 2015. Darlene was born to Herald Lavar and Alice Louise Brown Staker on Feb 20, 1940 in Ogden Utah. Her dad was killed in an industrial accident prior to her birth. She was raised by her mother and father, Joseph "Harvey" Schenck in Roy, Utah.
Darlene graduated from Weber High School in 1958. Darlene met the love of her life, Jesse Evett Bradley. They were married on July 26, 1963 at her parents' home in Roy. Darlene and Jessie had two wonderful sons, Troy (Margie) Bradley of Syracuse and Tracy (Kris) Bradley of Clinton, who in turn gifted her with three wonderful grandsons, Nick, Cody and Dillon.
Darlene worked for Pacific Chromalox as a welder/brazer for 12 years. She loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with her family. Sadly, multiple sclerosis made it difficult to continue these life pleasures at 40 years of age.
She is survived by her two sons, Troy and Tracy, her two amazing daughters Margie and Kris, her three 3 grandsons Nick, Cody and Dillon, and a beloved sister, RaNae Tibbits of Eau Clair, WI. Darlene was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Herald Staker, Alice and Harvey Schenck, her husband Jesse Bradley, and her sister Zelia Hebdon of Rexburg, ID.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10:30 - 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to services. A luncheon will follow at the Clinton 8th LDS Church at 702 W 1300 N, Clinton, Utah.
In lieu of flowers the Family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society to help fight this terrible disease.
The Family wishes to give special thanks to Darlene's health provider and friend, Dr. Kevin Gardner at Wasatch Peak Family Practice. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to Debra and Angie, two very nurturing nurses at Rocky Mountain care center.
