David Blaine Duncan Sr., 50, passed away Dec. 23, 2014 after a lifelong battle with Type-1 diabetes. He was born on Jan. 9, 1964 to David L. and Leah S. Duncan of Ogden. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1982 before marrying Georgia Ann Stratton in 1983. They raised four incredible kids, Tiffany (Tammy) Duncan, David (Brittany) Duncan Jr., Heather (Steve) Larsen, and Kaleb Duncan, before separating.

Throughout his life music was his passion. He started playing piano at the age of 4 and began developing his amazing voice soon after. He enriched the lives of many with his music while serving his Lord as Director of Music at Valley View Baptist Church for 27 years. He was a born again Christian, and he and his dad, Pastor David L. Duncan, enjoyed serving the Lord together.

He espoused Kelly Espinoza Dec. 14, 2002, gaining four beautiful children (Ross, Michael (deceased), Luke, and Marissa). They were later separated.

Dave warmed many lives doing a hobby that he loved; working with his hands. From remodeling houses to shaping his ideas into gifts to restyling God's earth in our landscape, he forever impacted many of our lives.

Dave married his true love, Deana Sherrod, on Sept. 30, 2012; gaining three more beautiful children, Andrew (Katie) Sherrod, Rachael (John) Patton, and Toree Sherrod.

Dave is survived by his wife, Deana and their children. He is also survived by his parents, David and Leah Duncan, siblings, Chuck (Vickie) Duncan, and Ruth (Dan) Johnson; his 11 grandchildren, Malik, Odallas, Jaylyn, Bella, Kayla, Brynlee, Dax, Levi, Jace, Ahmyah, Kaleb, and more family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at Valley View Baptist Church, 2712 N 400 E., N. Ogden. A viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. on Monday, December 29 from 5-7pm and on Tuesday at the church prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.
