Delane Hodson Bybee Obituary (1941 - 2012)

Delane Hodson Bybee Delane Hodson Bybee, 71, passed away on October 4, 2012 in Salt Lake City from Alzheimer disease. Delane was born January 2, 1941 in Portland, Oregon to Raymon Curtis Bybee and Priscilla Hodson Bybee. He was raised in Uintah, Utah. Delane graduated from Weber High School in 1959. He was an Army paratrooper with the Fort Bragg North Carolina 82nd Airborne Division and served three years in the Construction Battalion in Vietnam. Delane was a construction superintendent for new homes and industrial developments for 35 years. He had a great love for the outdoors and was an exceptional big game guide and outfitter in the mountains of Utah and Wyoming. Surviving are his five daughters; Kim Veillon of Charlottesville, VA; Lori (Troy) Vigil of Clinton, UT; Kristi (Heath) Opheikens of Roy, UT; Sylvia Bybee of Huntington Beach, CA; and Rebecca (Bronson) Wood of Morgan, UT, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He will be missed very much. The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Care Center and Inspiration Hospice for their care and compassion. A gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012, from 1:00 - 2:40 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah.
