Denise Jones was born on Thursday, October 11, 1962. Denise was a charismatic woman, one whose unwavering spirit and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. She was a woman of many passions, with a particular fondness for the arts. A lover of music, Denise was known to sing and dance with unabashed joy, filling any room with her infectious energy. A loyal friend and a loving family member, Denise possessed a generous heart, always willing to lend a hand or a sympathetic ear to those in need.
Denise was a woman of determination and tenacity, proven when she accomplished the notable feat of graduating high school at the age of 50. Her vibrant personality was a beacon of light for her family, her charisma drawing people towards her. Denise was a fighter, standing her ground with feisty determination, never shying away from expressing her opinion. She was a woman of intelligence, both book smart and quick-witted, her sharp retorts often leaving those around her in fits of laughter. Denise's love for life was reflected in her hobbies; from playing 10,000 and crossword puzzles, to coloring, and watching her favorite movies and series, especially westerns, true crime, and Heartland. She had fond memories of riding horses in her younger days, and she loved playing jacks and dominos.
However, the jewel in Denise's life was her son, Tre. He was the center of her world, and she cherished him deeply. Denise is survived by her siblings, Renae, Bruce, Melvin, Alcindor, Nicole, and Kelee; two half sisters, Hazel and Brenda; and her grandchildren, Davier and Ameri Jones; her daughter-in-law, Guillermina; along with a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tre Jones-Scott; her parents, L. P. and Lillie Jones; and her siblings, Clarence, Christine, and Roxane Jones.
Denise's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and unwavering determination. She left us on September 27, 2026, but her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
