Derick Jones

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a loving and loyal man, Derick Paden Jones, fondly known as "Buddy" to those who knew him best. Born on December 28, 1993, in Porterville, CA, Derick grew up to be a charismatic soul whose life was filled with contagious laughter and an undeniable sense of humor. He was witty, thoughtful, and filled any room with his warmth.
Derick was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a doting uncle. His family, which mattered most to him, always appreciated his generous heart and his amazing ability to look for humor in others. He had an easy-going nature and was a gentle soul who was generous with what he had. Derick was a talented rapper, an excellent cook, and had a deep love for all types of music. He had a passion for all different sports, making him a fierce competitor. He was a proud graduate of Box Elder High School. Derick worked at Walmart Distribution, Walmart, and Valley View Granite.
Derick's love for life extended to his hobbies, including fishing and sports. He loved the tranquility that came with a day spent fishing. His love for music was infectious with rhythmic beats and captivating lyrics. Derick was a beacon of light and laughter, a man whose presence was a gift to those around him with his unforgettable laughter, and deep connections to others.
He is survived by his mother, Janice Argyle; step-father, Richard Argyle; sister, Megan Jones; step-brothers, Jacob Argyle, Gary Argyle and Skylar Argyle; his half-brother Shawn Rush; brother-in-law, Taylor Clark; nieces, TayGan Clark and Brynlee Argyle; and grandmothers, Shirley Jones and Barbara Argyle and a host of Aunts, Uncles and cousins who loved him and his father, David Jones.
Derick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances Simmons, Connie Simmons, George Jones and Dave Argyle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 205 South 100 East Brigham City, UT. Prior to the Service a Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. at Brigham City Myers Mortuary.
The service will be recorded and able to view following the services.
