Dev Hallett Obituary (1994 - 2013)

Dev Hallett "Always Loved, Never Forgotten" Devereaux Montgomery Landfair Hallett was born on August 6, 1994 in Ogden, Utah. On July 8, 2013 Dev was in a tragic auto/pedestrian accident. He died of his injuries on July 11, 2013. He may have only lived 18 years but in his short time with us he touched many lives and will be missed by all. Dev walked this earth with no fear. His friends describe him as the most active, laziest person they've ever met. He enjoyed free running, parkour, martial arts, gymnastics, chopping wood and riding his bike. But he could also sit quietly for hours reading his favorite books or working and playing on his computer. Dev attended Mar Lon Hills Elementary School, South Ogden Junior High, Bonneville High School and the DATC. Dev worked at the Deseret Industries in Harrisville. He looked forward to working at the D.I. because he loved being there, meeting new people and making friends with his co-workers. His loved ones left behind are his mom, Joycelyn (Shane, dad) Weese; and father, Mike (Jen) Hallett; brother, Kyle; sister, Sissy, and stepsister, Pockets; grandparents, Hal (Pat) Hallett and Harlene (J.D.) Landfair; great-grandmother, Maxine Jamison and many aunts, uncles and "the cousins." Special thanks to Mckay Dee Hospital and their caring staff, especially the ICU nurse, Brenda. Also to Dr. Welling and Dr. Kerwin for their love and care. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the South Ogden 5th Ward, 4380 Orchard Ave. With a visitation prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial account has been set up in Dev's name at Golden West Credit Union. Arrangements under the direction of Myers Ogden Mortuary.
