Diana Boren

Diana Staley-Boren, born August 5, 1944, in Ogden, Utah, to Arnell H. Staley and Lucille “Marie” Smith, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Diana was married to Donald Boren in 1963, and together they built a family full of love and cherished memories. Though their marriage ended, Diana’s devotion to her family never wavered. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Diana served with love and dedication in the Special Needs, Relief Society Presidency and the library. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, cherishing her heritage and the values it instilled.
Diana’s hands were rarely idle, as she found joy in sewing, crocheting, and cooking. Her family will fondly remember her as a wonderful cook, whose meals brought everyone together. She also enjoyed bowling in a league, playing cards with friends, and sharing games with her grandchildren, creating moments of laughter and connection that will be treasured forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Charles; two grandchildren, Jenny Scothern and Justin Thompson; and her sisters, Sharon Langhaim and Judy Staley. Diana is survived by her loving children, Donnelle (Kraig) Robinson, Vivian Ridenour, Duane Boren, Devin Boren, and Derek Boren; her sister, Elaine Staley; her brother, Jerry (Linda) Staley; a brother-in-law, Henry Langhaim, and a legacy of 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. 84404 with a viewing prior from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Diana will be laid to rest at Aultorest Cemetery in Ogden, Utah, 836 36th St.
