Diane Knudson Davis

Diane Knudson Davis, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 23. 2009.

She was born December 30, 1927 to Benjamin and Violet Knudson in Brigham City, Utah. On January 7, 1948 she married LeRoy James Davis at her parent's home. Later on June 2, 1972, their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They had two children, Gregory Vinson and Julie Davis Reich.

Diane was employed as a secretary during her life for several different employers, namely, Powers Flowers, Intermountain Indian School, and the IRS in Ogden. She had many interests including oil painting, golfing, and bowling. She enjoyed traveling with LeRoy throughout the country. Her favorite trip was to Hawaii. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She helped her father milk cows as a teenager, ended up marrying a farmer and helped her husband herd and feed the cattle, haul hay, and grow a good-sized garden to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Survived by a daughter, Julie Davis Reich, (David), and five grandchildren - David, Jeanette, Sarah, James, and Cindy, and nine great grandchildren; preceded in death by a son, Gregory, and her husband, LeRoy.

The family expresses gratitude to the kind and loving staff at Sunrise of Sandy and the Good Shepherd Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City.

A viewing will be held prior to the funeral services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. at Myers Mortuary.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
