Dianne Louise Ries Embacher Obituary (1939 - 2004)

Dianne Louise Embacher BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away early in the morning on Tuesday, February 17th 2004 at University Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are still finding it hard to believe this has happened but are finding peace in feeling her presence with us. Dianne was born on March 15, 1939 in New Ulm, Minnesota, the daughter of Raymond and Gladys Reis. She graduated from Lewiston High School (Idaho) in 1957. She married Terrance Tipton on October 27, 1957 in Lewiston, Idaho. They had three children: Twain, Kim, and Shane. They later divorced. On May 6, 1995, she married Bill Embacher in New Ulm, Minnesota. Their nine years together have been full of joy and love with their two families joined as one. Although her family was her greatest passion, she also loved traveling, bird watching, gardening, singing, her church, flowers, and the outdoors. She lived life to the fullest. Dianne had a positive attitude, was very compassionate, loved to laugh - even at herself, and was thoughtful of others to the end. Dianne is survived by her husband Bill; children, Twain (Donna) Tipton, Peter's Creek, AK; Kim (Jeff) Scholtec, Plain City, UT; and Shane Tipton, Anchorage, AK; Kim Embacher, Carrie (Dave) Forstner, Brenda (John) Nosbush of New Ulm, MN; Chris (April) Embacher, Lake Crystal, MN; Lee Embacher, St.Cloud, MN; three sisters, Jo (Carroll) Elijah, Janice (Paul) Kretsch of New Ulm, MN; Rosie Gilbert; and one brother LaRay (Elaine) Reis of Lisbon, ND; 17 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, John Gilbert. A memorial service to celebrate her life is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, February 20, 2004 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 5560 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah. A light lunch will follow.
