Don Allen DeVoe
May 27, 1947 – September 19, 2026

Don Allen DeVoe, 79, of Clinton, Utah, passed away on September 19, 2026.
Don was born on May 27, 1947, in Ogden, Utah, to Glenn DeVoe and June Pendleton. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1965 and shortly after began his service in the United States Navy, where he proudly served from 1965 to 1969 during the Vietnam War.

On March 28, 1969, Don married Karen Hansen, beginning a marriage and life together that would span more than 57 years. Their story began with a blind date arranged by Don's mother. As newlyweds, Don and Karen lived in Bountiful, Utah, and later Fruit Heights before making Clinton their home in 1973.

Don retired after 30 years working in Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base. Service was also an important part of his life outside of work. He volunteered with the State plus National Search & Rescue, filling many positions, including pistol chairman for 30 years and National Commander for two.

Anyone who knew Don knew there was little he couldn't figure out, but when he made mistakes, you’d hear “Damn-it-Don”. He was an incredibly talented carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. He also loved golfing, reading, hunting, fishing, shooting, and singing COUNTRY music with his cousins. Those interests became even more meaningful because he shared them with the people he loved.

Don was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was also an especially important role model to his grandchildren Taylor and Antonio. He handed down his passions, imprinting memories.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Karen DeVoe; his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Marcia DeVoe; his daughter, Corina DeVoe; his granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Taylor and Dalton Duba; his grandson, Antonio DeVoe; and his three great-grandchildren, Hanzlee, Harvey, and Henry Duba.

He was preceded in death by his mother, June Pendleton; his father, Glenn DeVoe; and his brother, Dean DeVoe.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. An additional viewing will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 10 am to 10:30 am followed by funeral services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the cemetery service at Sunset Church, 338 W. 1800 N.

Don's life was filled with service, hard work, family, and the outdoors he loved. The skills he taught, the stories he shared, and the example he set will continue through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
