Pleasant View - Donald Conley Casey Sr., 70, passed away peacefully amongst his family at home, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Disease, with his wife by his side. Don was the youngest child of the fourteen born to Alexander Conley and Clarissa Garrison Casey; he was born September 16, 1943 in Mesa, AZ.

Don married his high school sweetheart, Wynona Cates on June 13, 1964 and became the father to one daughter and eight sons. Don died on the anniversary of the day when he and Wynona were sealed to their family in the Laie Hawaii Temple in 1971.

Don graduated from Mesa High School where he enjoyed playing basketball and football. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and his close friend Wayne Yeoman. His passion was his family; the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and in giving service to all. He loved his family and worked hard as a roofer for over 45 years to support them. Don started Casey Roofing in Pleasant View, Utah. He took pride in his work and taught his sons the trade of roofing and the value of hard work. While on a roof in 1979 he was electrocuted, but his life was extended so he could raise his family and serve others.

He truly exemplified Christ; he served all and was kind to everyone. Everyone that knew Don loved him. He loved the Book of Mormon and the true principles it taught. He wanted his whole family to be Christlike.

He is survived by his wife, Wynona; and his children, Donald Jr (Jeanne), Alan (Kathy), Coleena (Max) Miller, Christopher (Lucy), Mark (Lily), David (Jennifer), Philip (Jessica), Benjamin (Dawn), Jared (Nicole); 47 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Leona, Veda and Verda and also by his brothers, Lewis, Billy and Gary.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Christopher, Dewey and Ernest; his sisters, Vera, Velma, Verna, and Paula.

Friends may call on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8th at the Pleasant View Stake Center, 2975 N. 1000 W., Pleasant View at 11a.m. where a viewing will be held prior from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
