Donald Leon Malan

OGDEN - Donald Leon Malan, 72, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 18, 2007 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born October 20, 1934 in Ogden, Utah to Almeda Peterson Malan and Leon Augustus Malan, the youngest of four children. He married Teresa Dawn Gileau on January 29, 1955 in Long Beach, California. They later moved back to Utah after the birth of their first child.

He worked for Hill Air Force Base where he retired after 30 years.

Don enjoyed time spent with his family camping, boating, three wheeling and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife Teresa; three sons, Russell, Paul (Lisa) and Kenneth (Raelene); four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Almeda and Leon Malan; one brother Darrel; two sisters Luwana and Lois; and one grandson Kevin.

The family would like to express their thanks to Hearts for Hospice for their care and compassion.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
