Donna Jones

BRIGHAM - Donna Williams Jones, 82, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 03, 2017. She was born May 18, 1934 in Lewiston, Utah, to George and Alice Hendricks Williams of Lewiston, Utah. Donna attended North Cache High School and married her high school sweetheart, Orvell Jones, on August 24, 1951. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 6, 1967. They became the proud parents of six children, Kelly Jones (Lynn), Layton, Utah; Danny Jones (Dixie), Puyallup, Washington; Julianne Earl (Ray), Perry, Utah; Jeffrey Jones, Uintah, Utah; Donnell Jones (Lupe), Evanston, Wyoming; and Melinda Clawson (Brent), Logan, Utah. She had 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, her greatest treasures. Donna was loved by all that knew her. She loved camping at Dike Lake, sewing, crocheting, music, and needlework. She enjoyed many years and friends at Hill Air Force Base and took great pride in her work there, retiring in 1987. She will be greatly missed. Donna is survived by her children, and her siblings, Garold Williams (Donna) Logan, Utah; Marvin Williams, Logan, Utah; Dallan Williams (Mary) Riverdale, Utah; and Laurel Kristofferson (Keith) of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Orvell Jones, parents: George and Alice Williams, sister, Gloria Larsen, and brothers: Wendel and Brian Williams.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Viewings will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Perry 2nd Ward LDS Church, 2415 South Park Drive, Perry Utah. All are welcome to attend. The family would especially like to thank the staff and special friends at Maple Springs Assisted and Independent Living and Integrity Health for their heartfelt love and dedication. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Donna's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
