Donna Loftus Loveday Marti

Our Mom, Grandma, Aunt, and Friend, Donna Loftus Loveday Marti, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home in Ogden, Friday, October 16, 2026. She was born March 13, 1931 to Edward G. Loveday and Hanna Vilate Loftus Loveday. She was their 7th child. Mom spent her younger years in Cache Valley, a place she always called home. Her happiest memories as a child were spent living, working, and playing on that rock pile called Providence. Mom was raised with her older brother Edward (Ted) Loveday, and her 5 sisters: Ethyl (Hett) Johnson, Thelma (Peggy) Erwin, Afton (Pat) Hoskins, and Jean Dickey, who preceded her in death. She also had a brother, Alma, who died in infancy. She is survived by her youngest sister, Alta Yergensen.

Mom grew up listening and loving music. Although she never played an instrument, we had music playing all the time. Country Western music was her favorite. Hank Williams was at the top of her list. For the most part, Mom was a stay-at-home Mom, but at times to supplement their income, she worked at J.C. Penney, Freeport, IRS, and her favorite job, Wasatch Transportation, transporting special needs children. She loved the children and their families in her care and they loved her.

Mom and Dad loved to square dance and danced their way through many cities and countries, making friends along the way. We're hoping she's dancing now without the restraints of a worn body and walker.

She was married to Bob Provence, later divorced. She then married Evo Marti. They were married 64 years before his passing. Mom is survived by her 3 daughters, Anna Hubbell, Evonne Kapinos, and JoLyn Carlson (Gary), 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Ken Provence, granddaughter Michelle Berglund, grandson Edward Provence, and great-granddaughter, Nicole Berglund.

Our Family has been blessed by the tender loving care of Symbii Hospice Nurse, Jamie, and C.N.A, Ryleigh, her private caregivers, Maggie, Kyrston, and Anissa, Mom's senior companion, Frances, ministering sisters, Linda & Susan, Betty, Terri & Darlene, and two of her Favorite caregivers, her grandson Kenny Wilmot, and her granddaughter, Shauna Walker. We love and and appreciate you and the wonderful care you have given Mom. Angels really do walk on earth.
