Dorothy Mae Valdez Conover

CLEARFIELD - Dorothy Mae Valdez Conover, 75, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Family Tree Assisted Living.

She was born May 18, 1937 in Cimarron, New Mexico to Alfonzo and Ramona Trujillo Valdez.

She married John R. Conover in 1955. They later divorced.

She graduated from St. Josephs, Ben Lomond High and Weber State University.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Dorothy was an R.N for 30 years at McKay-Dee Hospital, Manor Care Nursing, Washington Terrace and Clearfield Care Center.

She loved reading, shopping, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling to England and Hawaii.

She is survived by her children: John Conover, Cindy Nance, Robert (Carrie) Conover, Anthony Conover, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Dolly (Al) Nolan and Bob Valdez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonzo and Emma Valdez, sister, Nancy Grey, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy.

Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park.
