DOROTHY E. DIAMOND

Clinton - Dorothy Elsie Semler Diamond 78, passed away October 8, 2001 of complications from diabetes. She was born April 9, 1923 in Yonkers, New York the daughter of Otto and Emilee Eichleman Semler. She married John W. Diamond Jr., Nov. 12, 1947 in New York, New York. the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Diamond passed away September 26, 1970.

She had worked as a medical secretary at Clearfield Job Corp. Center. Due to her husband being in the Navy she had lived in various locations, San Diego, CA.., Norfolk, VA., Jacksonville, FL. and Long Island, New York, before moving to Clinton in 1962.

Dorothy and her family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1958. She was a faithful member serving in many auxiliaries including Relief Society Presidency, Primary Presidency, Sunday School Teacher and Young Women's Advisor. She enjoyed gardening and ceramics and the out-of-doors. She had a great love for animals.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Marilyn Diamond, Clinton; grandchildren John and Kathren Diamond, Moscow, ID.; Jed and Jordan Diamond, Clinton

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and one son Stephen Lee Diamond.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday Oct. 12th at the Clinton 2nd Ward Chapel, 2222 West 1800 North, with Bishop Richard R. Russell officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 6 - 8:00 P.M. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, and on Friday from 9:45 - 10:45 A.M. at the church. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery.
