DOROTHY B.HANSEN

BRIGHAM CITY - Dorothy Baker Hansen, 89, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2001, after a long illness. Dorothy was born June 9, 1912, in Tremonton, Utah to William and Jennie Linn Baker. She attended schools in Box Elder County and completed business courses in Peoria, Illinois. She married Van Francis Dunn in 1932 from whom she later divorced. She married Montrey Hansen on March 11, 1940 who preceded her in death.
Dorothy worked several years for the Box Elder County Treasure's Office and spent time as a bookkeeper for the Box Elder County Bank.
Dorothy was a kind and loving person who blessed the lives of many people, particularly her children and grandchildren. Her flower garden was a love of her life. She enjoyed the beauties of nature and loved picnics in Box Elder canyon. She enjoyed serving and waiting on others and they in turn loved her for her sensitivity and caring nature. The Brigham Rehabilitation and Nursing Center described her as being brave in the face of the challenges she endured.
Surviving are her three children, Van F. Dunn, Jr. (Janis), Salt Lake City, UT, Marilyn Campbell (Melvin), Brigham City, UT, and Curtis M. Hansen (Helen), Corinne, UT, 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2001 at 12 Noon at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City.
Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 to 11:40 a.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Corinne Cemetery.
Dorothy, our loved Mother , Grandmother and friend fought a valiant battle.
The storm has passed, the seas are calm. All is well, all is well.
