CLEARFIELD - Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend, Dorothy Merline Wallace Hyde, 79, returned to our Heavenly Father on October 30, 2012 in her home in Clearfield Utah.

She was born in Heber City Utah in her Grandmothers bedroom Nov. 30, 1932 to Anthony and Agnes Wallace. Dorothy graduated from Wasatch High in 1950. She attended Utah State for two years before moving to Salt Lake City where she worked at Deseret Book and lived at the Beehive House. On June 20, 1957 Dorothy and Russell Hyde were married in the Salt Lake Temple.

Dorothy is survived by her four daughters Mary (Michael), Jones, Melanie Napples, Pamela (Dale) Smith, Wendy (Steve) Bierwolf. Four granddaughters, two grandsons, one great-granddaughter.
Mom's greatest joy were her children and grandchildren. And the arrival of Toni her great-granddaughter.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William (Mickey) Wallace, Russell (Bud) Larsen, and sister Aileen Hair.

Mom liked to putter around her garden. If you were lucky you were blessed to receive some walnuts from her prized walnut trees.

Mom loved to crochet and many a newborn received blankets which she made with love.

Mom had an unwavering faith in her Heavenly Father and served in many callings from being the Guide Patrol Leader to teaching in the Relief Society. She loved doing it all.

She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and exemplified charity, kindness and compassion in every way.

She was such a source of strength to her family and friends, she will be dearly missed.
