DOROTHY JANET COOK MILLER

ROY - Dorothy Jane Cook Miller, 86, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010. She was born February 16, 1924 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of James William and Frances Margretta Marriott Cook. She was a lifetime resident of Roy.

On July 9, 1948, she married the love of her life Talmadge Miller in Salt Lake City. They enjoyed 42 years together. He passed away April 20, 1990.

Dorothy loved to collect antiques, and with that love, she frequently visited swap meets, yard sales and antique shows. She was always caring for animals and giving strays a good home.

She is survived by her two sons, Steven Ray Miller and Bruce Jay Miller, four grandchildren; Ian, Andrew, Nichole, and Emily, and five great-grandchildren, Marisa, Raevn, Braiden, Noah, and Landon.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, and step-father Jorgen Peterson, three brothers; Jesse Cook, Carl Cook, and Glen Peterson, two sisters; Marie Helgesen, and Ada Moore.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah.
