Dorothy May Liming Wixon

CLEARFIELD - Dorothy May Liming Wixon, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Monday, September 3, 2012, at the age of 95. She was born July 29, 1917, in Kirk, Colorado, a daughter of George Washington and Bessie Alice Graves Liming.

She grew up in Colorado, graduating from Kirk High School in 1937. She married her sweetheart William L. Wixon, Jr. on July 17, 1939, in Sterling, Colorado. They were married 56 years. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1995.

Dorothy was a member of the Protestant Faith, and served as a Youth Group Leader. She was very active in civic activities, including Eastern Star and Amaranth, lifetime member of DAV Auxiliary, Demoley Mother, Scout Master, and Daughter of American Revolution.

She enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting, sewing, and she loved doing family history and working on photo albums.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Malcolm (Linda) Wixon, Denver, CO., daughter-in-law, Merlene Wixon, Roy, UT; 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband William; parents; son, William; brothers, Neil Liming, Everett Liming, John Liming; and sisters, Ellen Liming, Beulah Riedesel, and Bessie Craig.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Kirk, Colorado.
