Our dear sweet husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather returned home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the age of 80.

He was born on June 27, 1934 to Annie Oleda Anderson and George Christian Blickfeldt; he was born and raised in Ogden, Utah where he graduated from Weber High School and Weber College. He served in the US Army and US Navy Reserves. He retired from HAFB.

On September 21, 1956 he married Donna Barnes in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with four children; Douglas, Rick, Tim and Cindy. He was a member of the Roy 7th Ward.

Dad was a jokester and he loved making everybody laugh. Dad loved fishing and hunting with his family. He enjoyed golfing, camping, woodworking, motorcycle and ATV riding with his puppy, going on rides, family trips to Bear Lake and family get-togthers. His favorite things were Lemon Cake and a nice cold Pepsi. He will be forever loved and missed.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons, Douglas (Lori), Rick (Kari), Tim (Kris) and his daughter, Cindy (Dee) Simmons; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter on the way; brother, Arlen Blickfeldt and his puppy, Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Delores, his sister, Sharon, sister-in-law, Loraine and brother-in-law, Ron.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. where viewings will be held on Wednesday, March 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday prior to the service from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Douglas Blickfeldt Memorial Fund at any America First Credit Union.

We love you Dad, we will see you on top of Sand Mountain.
