Earl Raymond Kerkove

BRIGHAM CITY - Earl Raymond Kerkove, 72 passed away on Sunday September 27, 2009 peacefully at his home.
Earl was born in Sigourney, Iowa on April 9, 1937 a son of John Leroy and Addie Louise Spiess Kerkove.
He graduated from Sigourney High School and attended various schools for training and courses.
Earl married Karen Louise on December 4, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was a charter member of and secretary at the Golden Spike Trap Club. Twice he served as President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Organized and participated in many charity events.
Earl enjoyed sports; he loved football, baseball, basketball and golf. He played football in High School. He golfed for fun for many years with family and friends. He won many prizes in Trap shooting and when younger was on a bowling league. He helped run Peach Days Parades for many years.
Above all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Karen, Brigham City; children: Susan Kerkove, Brigham City; Terri Burke, Brigham City; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also siblings: Harold Kerkove, Sigourney, IA; Kathleen Bailey, Omaha NE; Mary (Bill) Kerber, Sigourney, IA; Richard (Ann) Kerkove, Sigourney, IA; Pete (Joan) Kerkove, Anaheim, CA; Francis Kerkove, San Antonio, TX; Don (Nancy) Kerkove, Hemet, CA; Carolyn (Glenn) Erwin, Tucson, AZ.
Preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Betty, James and Marlene.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Friends may call on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
