Edgar William Dew Jr

Edgar (Ed) William Dew Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who new him returned to his heavenly father Friday, March 14, 2008 due to heart complications after a stay at the VA hospital. Ed was born November 9, 1947 in Batesville, Arkansas to Verbal Lucille Wisdom & Edgar William Dew. Ed was the eldest of four children. After graduating from Cave City High School in 1968, he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served in two wars within his 30 year career. He married Jeannine Love Smith, they had eight children together. In 2002 he married Diane B. Dew.

His favorite past time was to work on automobiles; he loved to fish, camp and travel. He was knowledgeable in many things and was always willing to help anyone with any task they had.

He is survived by his loving wife Diane, children, Danial Dew, Leah (John) Anderson, Anthonie (Bridgett) Dew, Travas Dew, Ketrina (Jason) Holtz, Ryon Dew, Jerrod Dew, Eden Dew, Mitchell (Karen) Jones, Christina (Chad) Cardall, and 19 grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother, General Alic Dew.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Layton Lakeview Ward, 2300 North 1200 West, Layton, Utah. Family and friends may gather Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road and one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment will be at Utah Veterans Cemetery at Camp Williams in Bluffdale, Utah with military honors.
