Edison James Schow Obituary (1934 - 2015)

Edison J. Schow Edison James Schow, 81 passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Bountiful, Utah. Ed was born January 26, 1934 in Preston, Idaho to Reuben Joseph and Martha Steuri Schow. Ed was raised in Mantua, UT and graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City, UT. He went on to graduate from Utah State University. Ed married Sylvia M. Jessop in the Logan LDS Temple on December 27, 1963. Together they moved to Redwood City, CA where they lived for 50 years and raised a family. Ed was an Electronical Engineer for Ampex and San Francisco City College and a Ham Radio enthusiast. He loved to fix electronics, read and talk with just about anyone about any subject under the sun. There was probably no one more ready to help others. He spent countless volunteer hours servicing the sound systems for the ward and stake, helping the boy scouts and countless other ways. Ed rarely, if ever, had an unkind word to say about anyone. Ed is survived by his wife Sylvia Schow; children Stephen Schow, Tamara (Michael) Dietz, Deborah (Darrell) Johnson; sister Lucy (Jay) Daines, Malene Schow (wife of brother Allan Schow); and 8 grandchildren. Ed is preceded by his parents Reuben Joseph and Martha Steuri Schow, and his brother Allan Schow. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
