E. June Wells Hess Obituary (1918 - 2012)

June Hess Edith June Wells Hess, age 94, passed away July 21, 2012, at Manor Care in South Ogden, Utah. Mom was born June 9, 1918, in Willard, Utah, to Leonard Fay Wells and Florence Bywater. She married Kenneth Hess, on October 26, 1939. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mom graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah. She has resided in Willard, Brigham City, Mercur, Ogden and Pleasant View, Utah. Mom was an excellent seamstress and made many of our clothes. She worked at Sierra Lingerie, Utah Tailoring Mills, and the Internal Revenue Service. Mom was a member of the LDS Church, and has served in Sunday School, Primary, and Relief Society. She was a member of DUP. She also served with Dad as Temple Workers in the Ogden LDS Temple. Mom loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, and strived to teach us correct principles. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Reta Marlene (Grant) Higgs, Kenneth Royce (Mary Louise) Hess, Nolan Leonard (Marsha) Hess, Tamra Evonne (Wayne) Crosbie. She also is survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Mable Wells, Bobbye Hess and Neva Hess. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jay and Reta Wells and Don Wells. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Wayne and Tammy, for the many years of love and care they gave to mother. Also, thank you to the Staff at Manor Care for their special care the past two and a half years. Mom's service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012, with a viewing from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
