South Ogden - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-granfather, Edward H. Jespersen died January 3, 2011 of causes incident to age. He was born December 30, 1931 in Queens, New York to Essum and Emma Bruggeman Jespersen. He married Norma Pellegrino September 11, 1954 in Long Island, N.Y., their marriage was later solemnized in the Washington D.C. Temple.

Edward served in the Army during the Korea War.

He was a Stake President in Long Island, New York, he also served on the High council and as District President in the New York City, New York Mission. At the time of his death he was a member of the Shadow Valley Ward.

He served as Chairman of the Board in the IBEW Union, Long Island Chapter and was very active in the union. He enjoyed traveling and fishing.

Edward is survived by his wife Norma; son, David Edward Jespersen of CO; daughters, Susan Marie Agres of Ogden and Amy Norma Meccariello of Las Vegas; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Shadow Valley Ward Chapel, 5191 Old Post Road, So. Ogden. Interment will be in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park where military honors will be accorded.
