OGDEN - Edythe Jack Wangsgard, 92, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2005 in San Diego, CA.

She was born May 30, 1912 in Ogden, Utah to William and Jeanne Jack who came from Newarthill, Scotland in 1910. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances (Mrs. Mark Greenwood) and May (Mrs. Wallace McConnell). She married Owen Wangsgard in 1931. They had two daughters, Wendy Wangsgard, San Diego, CA; and Gayle (Mrs. Larry Bryan) Newport Beach, CA. Edythe had two grandsons, Derek Bryan, Newport Beach, CA; and Peter Bryan, San Diego, CA. She had seven nieces and five nephews.

Edythe and Owen were married one month short of 73 years when Owen passed away December 2003. Owen was the former owner of Wangsgard's Market at Five Points.

Edythe was a kind, gentle person who enjoyed watching the Utah Jazz, listening to the Lawrence Welk Show and working in her beautiful flower garden.

Edythe was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.

A grateful thank you to our caretakers and good friends, Jean Hachmeister and Pam Bethel who helped take care of both Edythe and Owen over the years. A special thank you to the staff of Grossmont Gardens Health Center in San Diego, CA where she spent the last six weeks of her life.
