SYRACUSE - Effie Francis Morvillo, 78, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in Ogden. She was born September 4, 1929 in Egra, Oklahoma to William and Grace Wright Archer. She married Jack Morvillo October 6, 1953 in Reno, Nevada.

Effie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a member of the sewing club; she also did embroidery and loved animals. She was the first woman to belong to the Carpenter's Union in Montana; she also owned and operated a beauty salon.

She is survived by her children Harold Archer of Syracuse, Jim (Kellie) Archer of Colorado, Dana (Cheryl) Morvillo of Harrisville, Michele (Brent) Heywood of Washington Terrace; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two brothers Leo Archer of Colorado and George Archer of Nevada.

Effie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son Jack Morvillo Jr.; one grandson; one great-grandson and three brothers and one sister.

Friends and family may call on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Interment will be Saturday, October 27th at 2:00 p.m. at the Veyo Cemetery, in Veyo, Utah.
