She was raised in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High in 1954. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Hansen, two days after they graduated from high school, in the Logan Temple on May 26, 1954. They were happily married for 56 years until his passing in 2010. She was a loving wife and mother. After raising her four children, she returned to school and received her teaching degree from Weber State in 1972. She taught kindergarten at Polk Elementary for 25 years. She was a natural-born teacher, who taught not only her students, but also her family and friends many valuable life lessons.
After retiring they moved to Island Park, Idaho where she and Bob built a cabin and made many wonderful memories with family and friends.
