Eldon Judd West

OGDEN - I was born June 9, 1915, in Morgan, Utah, a son of Frank LeRoy West and Hannah Lillian Judd. I married Edna Marie Martin December 17, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

I was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945.

I have always been active in the LDS church, serving faithfully as a missionary to the Southern States, in various ward and stake callings and as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple for 14 years.

I graduated from Utah State University in 1950 and taught at Weber County High School for 27 years in the Industrial Arts Education Program.

I leave behind my sweetheart of 64 years, my daughter Lillian (Robert) Gurr, Kanab, UT, my son E. Judd West, Jr. (Linda), Ogden, my daughter Kathryn (Kent) Connelly, Kemmerer, WY, my brother Leon (Cheryl) West, my sisters Ruth (Doug) Gregory, Evelyn Johnson, my sister-in-law Delone West, Smithfield, UT, my sister Marie Corbridge, Preston, ID, 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

My family and I give special thanks to Dr. John White, Odyssey Hospice and Emeritus Estates for their loving care during my final days before passing from this life on November 6, 2004.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Perpetual Education Fund.
