Eleanor "Laverne" Parkinson Obituary (1992 - 2013)

"Together Again" Eleanor "LaVerne" Kinberg Larson Parkinson Ogden - LaVerne left to join her very missed and much loved soul mate, Jack, on March 22, 2013. She was 84. She was born May 11, 1928 to Walter R. and Gladys Shore Kinberg, in York, Nebraska. She married Donald Larson in 1947, they were later divorced. She married Jack Parkinson in 1977 and spent the "best 18 years of her life" with him. He died in 1994. She worked as a bookkeeper and retired from the Intermountain Allergy Clinic in 1989. She and Jack had a summer home in Manila and spent many wonderful years fishing in Flaming Gorge and exploring the countryside on their A.T.V's. After Jack's death she became a greeter at the Riverdale Wal-Mart. She is survived by 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson and several great-grandchildren, all of Denver, CO. Stepson, Dane Parkinson, step-daughters, Jolene (Rick) Marker and Kim (Allen) Law. Sister-in-law, Arlene Hawkins, brothers-in-law, Tom (Jeannette) Parkinson and Dale (Dale) Parkinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughters, Robin Lee and Debra Ann Larson; and her son, Edward F. Larson. Special thanks to LaVerne's nephew, Brad, who lived with her and cared for her for the last 4 years. She was loved! We would also like to thank the staff at Crestwood Care Center who so lovingly cared for LaVerne for the last 3 months. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Aultorest Memorial Park. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and prior to services from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
