Layton - Elidia Raquel Saucedo Yovera, 72, died May 5, 2011. She was born April 19, 1939 in Callayuc, Departamento de Jaen, Peru to Regulo Saucedo and Dolores Gavidia. Elidia was a faithful member of the LDS Buenaventura Spanish Branch of Ogden, Utah.

She loved to walk and enjoyed the outdoors very much. In Peru, she liked to farm animals to feed her big family. Her best talent was knitting and crocheting. She shared this with her friends and family that wanted to learn. She also loved to read, cook and dance. She will be missed very much by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Raquel (Johnny) Keener, Carmen (Carl) Baird, Giovanny (Martha) Yovera, Jhon Wilmer (Ysabel) Yovera, Liliana Yovera, Esdras (Cecilia) Yovera, Patricia (Matthew) Nelson, Jessica (Eliazar) Damian, Jesus E. (Sandra) Yovera and Leobardo Perdomo; her father Regulo Saucedo; 33 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren
Elidia Raquel. Also survived by her siblings, Porfirio, Prospero, Nicida, Julia, Elizabet, Yolanda, Herman, Wilmer, Francisco and Teofilo Saucedo of Peru; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Gavidia and three sons, Jose, Jhonny and Alexander Yovera.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Buenaventura Spanish Branch, 2147 Jefferson Avenue. Friends and family may call at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. on Thursday, May 12th, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10 to 10:40 a.m.

Interment in the Layton Cemetery.
